ILOILO City – The Deparment of Trade in Industry (DTI) launched a Negosyo Center in Numancia, Aklan and a Shared Service Facility for the production of handcrafted fashion bags and souvenir items in Tangalan, Aklan on Nov. 17.
The Negosyo Center in Numancia is the fourth in Aklan and the 23rd in Western Visayas.
Meanwhile, the DTI has turned over 22 units of heavy duty sewing machines to its cooperator, the Uswag Development Foundation, Inc. as part of the agency’s shared service facility services.
The DTI Aklan Provincial Office anticipates further promoting and developing existing businesses in the locality, particularly on food processing, handicraft, and tourism, among others.
Prior to the launching of the center, there was a consultation dialogue with micro, small and medium enterprises./PN
