ILOILO City – Two residents of Lapuz district were arrested for allegedly stealing from a store on Ledesma Street.

Police Station 1 took custody of Dennis Morin, 27, of Barangay Jalandoni Estate and Edgar Pelospero, 23, of Barangay Bo. Obrero.

Morin and Pelospero were accused of taking from New Ginzu Merchandizing an electric drill worth P1,250 and leaving the store without paying at the cashier, a police report showed.

The store’s security manager, Dande Deocampo, placed the two under citizen arrest and turned them over to Police Station 1 with the help of police officers on patrol.

The incident happened at around 12:30 p.m. on March 7, the police report stated./PN
