ILOILO City – Edwin Pacifico was arrested on Tuesday.
He has been wanted for a power pilferage charge for five years already, a police report stated.
The resident of Barangay Poblacion Ilawod, Lambunao, Iloilo was detained at the municipal police station.
Officers served him a warrant of arrest in their village at 9:50 a.m., stated the police report.
Pacifico was charged with violation of Republic Act 7832, or the Anti-Electricity and Electric Transmission Lines/Materials Pilferage Act of 1994.
Regional Trial Court Judge Loida Diestro-Maputol issued the warrant and set the bail bond at P40,000./PN
