BACOLOD City- Due to the decreasing number of people availing of the vaccines concerning the vaccination program for coronavirus disease-2019 (COVID-19) in this city, the Emergency Operations Center(EOC) will stop the vaccination in some of the mega malls here, but only two will remain.
Starting April 1, the SM City-Bacolod and the Ayala Malls Capitol Central-Bacolod will accommodate those persons who would want to be vaccinated for COVID-19 vaccines at the mega malls’ vaccination centers.
While, the vaccination centers at the CityMall Goldenfields, CityMall Mandalagan, and Robinson’s Place will stop the vaccination operation.
But, their vaccination teams will be deployed to the mobile Vax-i to roam around in the hacienda and purok areas in this city to conduct house-to-house COVID-19 vaccination.
Doctor Chris Sorongon, deputy for medical and data analysis of EOC said the barangays will continue conducting the vaccination based on their schedule, as posted on the Bacolod City PIO Facebook page.
He added there will be also teams assigned in some schools here to inoculate children 5 to 11 years old and 12 to 17 years old.
Sorongon assured the public that the vaccination will continue regularly despite the local campaign period having already started.
It was reported that this city is still in Alert Level 1 status until March 31 following the decrease of the COVID-19 cases./PN
