BACOLOD City – A former village chief was arrested in a buy-bust operation in Barangay Aguisan, Himamaylan City, Negros Occidental.
The 72-year-old Pedro “Junior” Advincula Jr., a businessman and former barangay captain of the village, was caught after he sold shabu to a poseur buyer for P5,000 around 6 p.m. on Sept. 25, a police report showed.
When frisked, Advicula yielded two more sachets of shabu and P20 cash.
Advincula refused to turn over his wallet to the police officers, said Chief Inspector Antonio Benitez Jr., Himamaylan police chief.
Upon arrest, Advincula suffered from hypertension prompting the cops to bring him to the Gov. Valeriano M. Gatuslao Memorial Hospital in Himamaylan City.
Advicula was later transferred to a hospital in the city. Police were guarding him./PN
