ILOILO City – A farmer was shot dead in Barangay Ingwan, Alimodian, Iloilo.
Regenel Torre died of a gunshot wound on the stomach, a police report showed.
The incident happened around 9 p.m. on Monday, it added.
According to police investigators, Torre was walking on his way to his home when an unidentified suspect waylaid him and fired at him using a still unidentified caliber gun.
Torre was brought to the Aleosan District Hospital where the attending physician declared him dead on arrival.
Officers of the Alimodian police station have yet to identify the suspect and the motive in the incident./PN
