SAN JOSE, Antique – Gov. Rhodora Cadiao urged the Sangguniang Panlalawigan (SP) to fast-track the passage of an ordinance regulating the zip line fee in Padlusan Adventure Park in San Remegio, Antique.
Cadiao said the zip line is once again safe and functional after undergoing technical assessment.
“Many tourists are now using the zip line,” Cadiao said.
But the park management cannot yet charge fees for zip line users pending the ordinance in the SP.
The zip line, which measures at least 680 meters, is considered as the longest of its kind in Western Visayas, Cadiao said.
The governor stressed that some people may take advantage of the “free zip line ride.”
Cadiao also emphasized that the amusement park must generate income to purchase feeds for hybrid cattle and horses being bred at the park’s Livestock Center.
The Livestock Center, which is another attraction in the park, is managed by the Provincial Veterinary Office. (PNA/PN)
