ROXAS City – Cases of coronavirus disease 2019 (COVID-19) in this city are increasing. As of April 10, there were 36 active cases.

“Madamo pa gid ini kon wala kita nagasunod sa health protocols,” said Dr. Lory Cahilog, City Health Office chief.

She encouraged people feeling sick to immediately isolate themselves and seek medical help.

The city government offers online medical consultation through the Roxas City Health Office E-Consulta Facebook Page, or through mobile phone (09219768315).

Cahilog stressed the importance of wearing facemask and face shield in public, physical distancing and                   proper washing of hands.

“Indi subong ang ang tiempo sa pagselebrar sang mga reunions, parties, kaon-kaon sa guwa, outing sa Baybay, lagaw sa mga resorts kag iban pa nga mga aktibidades pareho sang basketball nga may physical contact,” Cahilog said.

The doctor also reminded residents to avoid crowded places, stay at hole and go out only if necessary.

“Ini nga mga hilimuon indi mabudlay tumanon… Kooperasyon kag indi pagpakatig-a sang ulo ang aton pagahimuon,” said Cahilog.

She expressed confidence that the people of Roxas City would overcome the pandemic.
