ILOILO – An early morning fire destroyed a house made of light materials in Barangay Buray, Oton town on Monday, September 1.
According to Senior Fire Officer Jude Romaquin of the Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP)-Oton, the damage to property was estimated at P7,000.
Initial investigation showed that the fire broke out at the house of alias “Deng” at around 3:32 a.m.
Romaquin said the blaze was believed to be electrical in nature.
“Sa linya sang kuryente sa kisame nagsugod ang kalayo,” he added in a local radio interview.
No injuries were reported in the incident. Authorities added that no persons were in the house when the fire struck./PN
