ILOILO City – Fire struck two houses on Tabiana Street in Barangay Poblacion, Leon, Iloilo.
Bureau of Fire Protection investigators have yet to determine the cause but they believe it was electrical in nature.
The blaze started at the first floor of an abandoned house owned by the Calumno family at 2:50 p.m. on Saturday, investigation showed.
That the house was made of light materials allowed the fire to quickly spread to the nearby house of Rogelio Villalobos.
The abandoned house was destroyed while Villalobos’ house was damaged, according to the Fire bureau.
Investigators have yet to determine the cost of damage. (Panay Balita/PN)
