BACOLOD City – Fire razed two houses in Barangay Salvacion, Hinoba-an, Negros Occidental.

Residents Elma Escarpe and Delmar Delicano owned the houses. They are neighbors.

The fire started burning the houses around 10 p.m. on Sunday, a Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) report showed.

Fire officers said the blaze started from the kitchen of one of the houses, which is yet to be identified.

The houses were made of light materials, allowing the fast spread of the blaze, fire officers added.

The houses were razed to the ground. The BFP, however, have yet to estimate the total cost of damage as of this writing.

No casualties or injuries were recorded in the fire./PN
