ROXAS City – A fireworks competition will wrap up this year’s CAPIZtahan.

Nineteen different groups will make their way to Villareal Stadium to show off a finale of CAPIZtahan with colorful fireworks on April 23.

The competition starts early evening with no less than Gov. Antonio del Rosario in the audience.

The country’s leading pyro-technicians will once again light up the sky with multi-colored combinations of fireworks.

In previous years, the competition was a hit with the viewing public gathered at the Villareal Stadium.

Last year’s champion was DSS Fireworks of Dumaguete City.

The second placer was Starfish Fireworks (Tagbilaran City) while the third placer was Rambolet Pyro Corporation (Lapu-Lapu City).

Expected to join this year’s fireworks competition are the pyro-technicians from the provinces of Bulacan, Cebu, Dumaguete, Bohol, Iloilo, and Cagayan de Oro.

Spectators from Roxas City and from the municipalities should be aware that there will be a series of road closures in the afternoon onwards around the stadium until after the event to ensure the safety of the public. (Capiz Aksyon News Center/PN)
