MANILA – Foton Tornadoes and Generika-Ayala Life Savers are joining the teams set to play in the Chooks To Go-Philippine Superliga Grand Prix on Tour on Nov. 4 at the University of St. La Salle gym in Bacolod City.
Tornadoes and Life Savers are set to square off at 2 p.m. The Cocolife Asset Managers-Cignal HD Spikers clash follows at 4 p.m. and then Petron Blaze Spikers fights F2 Logistics Cargo Movers at 6 p.m.
Jaja Santiago, Dindin Santiago-Manabat, Ennajie Laure, Christine Joy Rosario, Ivy Perez, and Jennylyn Reyes will lead Tornadoes, the two-time defending Grand Prix champion.
Mentored by Moro Branislav, Tornadoes is also set to parade its imports – European stars Dragana Perunicnic of Montenegro and Sara Klisura and libero Katarina Vukamanovic of Serbia.
Bacolodnons Geneveve Casugod and Patty Jane Orendain, who previously played for USLS, as well as Ilonggas Fiola Ceballos and Shaya Adorador are composing Life Savers’ competitive lineup.
The Francis Vicente-coached Life Savers also has American Katelyn Driscoll and Croatian Katarina Pilepic as Grand Prix conference reinforcements.
This is the first time that Philippine Superliga will hold out-of-town matches in Visayas./PN
