Green Archers FC blanks Air Force in PH Football League

MANILA – Green Archers United Globe FC came up with late goals to score a 3-0 victory over Philippine Air Force FC in the 2019 Philippines Football League at Biñan Football Stadium in Biñan, Laguna.

With both teams scoreless midway in the second half, the Green Archers United broke the tie at the 70th minute on a conversion by Alen Angeles. He followed it up with another conversion nine minutes later for a 2-0 edge.

With the Philippine Air Force unable to cut the deficit, the Green Archers United widened the advantage for good at 3-0 with Ronnie Aguisanda converting at the 84th minute.

With the victory, the Green Archers United have moved up to second place in the standings with 10 points (three wins, two draws), while the Air Force is at last place with one point.

Meanwhile, the PFL has declared abandonment in the scheduled showdown between Global Makati FC and Mendiola 1991 FC following a delay to the start of the match that lasted for 30 minutes.

Global Makati, whose own turf, the University of Makati Athletic Oval, remains unavailable for the moment, is the designated host of the said game

“The status of the said match shall be referred to the LFI (Liga Futbol Inc.) board for its decision,” the PFL said in a statement. “This is simply an isolated case which shall be dealt with immediately and accordingly.”/PN
