ILOILO City – A farmer was arrested yesterday in Barangay Magyapo, Laua-an, Antique for possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition.

The 39-year-old resident Edgar Samillano was detained at the Laua-an police station.

Officers from the station and the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group searched his house at 4:30 a.m., a police report showed.

They recovered a .45 pistol and a .22 revolver, and assorted ammunition.
