BACOLOD City – Police raided a house in Sitio Antawan, Barangay Canlandog, Murcia, Negros Occidental and seized a firearm and several ammunition.
The owner of the seized items, 40-year-old Ardeliano Espadon Alib Jr., was arrested, said Chief Inspector Roberto Indiape, Murcia police head.
Officers found the following items in the house:
* a .45 MK pistol (serial no. 802135)
* two magazines
* 11 live bullets for a .45 pistol
* two barrel assemblies of an improvised shotgun
* an improvised magazine for 12-gauge shotgun
* eight live bullets for a .60 gun
Wielding a warrant issued by Judge Blas Nolasco Jr. of the Municipal Circuit Trial Court (Murcia), officers conducted the search at around 6 a.m. Wednesday.
Alib was detained at the Murcia police station and charged with violation of the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
