ILOILO City – A 20-year-old woman complained to the police that somebody scammed her on Facebook.

Jeanne Renee Nedula of M.H. del Pilar Street, Jaro district said she paid for a smartphone that was never delivered to her.

Nedula told Police Station 1 she bought an iPhone 6 for P9,300 via the Facebook page “Students Price Buy and Sell Iloilo Site.”

She transacted with Jhon Paul Polo, 20, of Imus, Cavite on June 24, a police report showed.

On June 27, she sent the money through Cebuana Lhuillier money transfer service.

After which, Polo blocked Nedula on Facebook and she had no other way of contacting him, the police report showed./PN
