BACOLOD City – A collector of an illegal numbers game was arrested in Barangay Da-an, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental
The 44-year-old Jonathan Jaruda of Barangay Talubangi, Kabankalan City was caught tallying bets on bond paper on Oct. 26, a police report showed.
Recovered from Jaruda were a bond paper, P212 bet money and a black ballpen, police said.
Jaruda was detained at the Kabankalan City police station lockup facility.
He faces charges for violating Republic Act 9287, or an Act Increasing the Penalties for Illegal Numbers Games, Amending Certain Provisions of Presidential Decree No. 1602./PN
