ILOILO City – Police nabbed two persons transporting lumber without permit in Barangay Simsiman, Calinog, Iloilo.
They were Francisco Lagaras, 49, of the town’s Barangay Poblacion Rizal Ilaud and Randy Cerbas, 39, of Barangay Libot, a police report showed.
The suspects were caught onboard a tricycle loaded with undocumented lumber around 1:30 p.m. on March 18, police said.
Lagaras and Cerbas were taken to the Calinog municipal police station, facing charges for violation of Presidential Decree 705, or the Forestry Reform Code of the Philippines./PN
