ILOILO – The No. 1 wanted person in the province has been arrested in Barangay Poblacion, Banate town two years after he was charged with raping the daughter of his live-in partner.
The 45-year-old Aren Bacong of Barangay Sua, San Dionisio, Iloilo was served with an arrest warrant on July 4 and taken to the San Dionisio police station.
The girl complained she was raped 15 times in July 2020, according to Police Lieutenant Soviet Torre of the San Dionisio police station. She was then a minor.
The suspect did not resist when served with the arrest warrant.
“Mangisda tani sya sang gin-arrest namon,” Torre said.
The arrest was jointly effected by the police of San Dionisio, Banate and Pavia police stations, and the 2nd Iloilo Provincial Mobile Force Company./PN
