ROXAS City – Jealousy was the motive in a hacking incident involving a married couple in Barangay Lat-asan, Panay, Capiz, police said.
The 45-year-old Randy Balgos hacked wife Susan, 36, using a bolo, Panay police station report showed.
Susan sustained a hacked wound on the neck and was brought to the Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital in this capital city.
Police said Susan was already in a stable condition.
Randy, on the other hand, was arrested on Nov. 5.
Police said Randy – who was drunk – became angry with Susan after the latter refused to give him her phone.
Randy was detained at the Panay police station lockup facility./PN
