KARLA Estrada said she would rather leave it up to her son Daniel Padilla to confirm whether he’s indeed in a relationship with Kaila Estrada, saying both of them are of the right age to take control of their decisions.
Karla said this in a TV Patrol interview broadcast on Monday, Dec. 29, when asked to comment on the rumored romance between Daniel and Kaila.
“Nasa edad na kasi sila eh. Manggaling na lang sa kanila. Hindi naman na ako para manguna, ‘di ba? Hayaan na natin, kung anong nakikita natin, masaya naman tayo pare-pareho,” she said.
Emphasizing the need to be “mature” in dealing with dating rumors, the actress-singer said that when Daniel is happy, she is also happy.
Karla added that she had known Kaila for quite some time since she is good friends with the latter’s parents, Janice de Belen and John Estrada.
On the other hand, Daniel neither confirmed nor denied his relationship with Kaila in an “Are You G?” interview last October.
“Huwag na nating i-pressure yung sarili natin, huwag na nating ilagay sa ganun, i-showbiz pa yun, pero you get my point? Lalabas at lalabas, pero ayoko lang na may naghihintay na alam mo yun, hintayin ng tao. Hayaan na nating mangyari ang mga mangyayari,” he said.
Daniel and Kaila have been rumored to be in a relationship since August 2025 after being spotted together on multiple occasions, including a mall date in Rockwell and an IV of Spades concert. (Hannah Mallorca © Philippine Daily Inquirer)
