KZ Tandingan admits almost quitting showbiz

Despite her success in the music industry, Kapamilya singer KZ Tandingan admitted that she almost quit show business.

In an interview with ABS-CBN News after she renewed her contract with the Kapamilya network, Tandingan said she almost left the entertainment industry because she was no longer happy at the time,

Ilang beses na sinasabihan ka na you don’t belong here in this industry.”

Tandingan, the first winner of “The X Factor Philippines” back in 2012, credited her family for giving her the courage to keep on going.

“No matter how I tried to keep everything to myself, ‘yung lahat nang pinagdaanan ko na paghihirap, tina-try ko na itago sa parents ko pero they always find out,” she said.

Tapos sila ‘yung nagpu-push sa akin,” she added.

Tandingan, who recently made headlines when she joined China’s singing competition “Singer 2018,” inked a three-year contract with ABS-CBN on Thursday afternoon.

The signing ceremony was attended by ABS-CBN executives led president and CEO Carlo Katigbak and chief operating officer Cory Vidanes.

Pero ngayon noong nagsa-sign ako na realize ko na parang now it makes sense na when I felt that everything was falling apart, it was actually just falling into place,” Tandingan said.

Tandingan is busy preparing for her major concert at the Mall of Asia Arena on June 22. (ABS-CBN News)
