BACOLOD City – A man allegedly shot himself on the head in Buena Park Subdivision, Barangay Robles, La Castellana, Negros Occidental.
The 33-year-old Aljin Pragata died of a gunshot around 8:30 a.m. on Sept. 28, a police report showed.
Recovered from the crime scene were a .45-caliber pistol loaded with six live bullets and an empty shell of the same gun, according to Chief Inspector Irma Teoxon, La Castellana police chief.
Pragata was suffering from urinary tract infection for more than two weeks, said his live-in partner Jenelyn Perez.
Perez believed Pragata shot himself because of “too much pain” he endured due to the infection.
Pragata’s body was brought to the Funeraria L. Nalagon in La Castellana.
A post-mortem examination will be conducted as police were still investigating the death./PN
