BACOLOD City – A man turned over his drunken brother-in-law to the police in Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental.

The 42-year-old Danny Boy Cañete, 42, was taken to the police station around 6:30 p.m. on Sept. 28.

Cañete came out of his house in Barangay Tabugon wielding a .357-caliber makeshift gun and confronted the 49-year-old Quirino Gallego, a mechanic, a police report showed.

Cañete pointed the gun at Gallego but the latter managed to disarm him, police said.

The incident happened around 4 p.m. on the same day.

Gallego said Cañete was mad at him for joining the “Guardian Brotherhood” for a reason that was not elaborated in the report.

Cañete was detained at the Kabankalan City police station lockup facility./PN
