ILOILO City – A laborer was arrested for illegal possession of a firearm at a checkpoint in Barangay Gines Patag, Cabatuan, Iloilo.
The 32-year-old Arjonel Esperidion of Zone-7, Barangay 1, Poblacion, San Miguel, Iloilo was arrested at 10:30 a.m. on May 26.
He yielded a .38 revolver with seven rounds of ammunition and failed to present a license.
Major Norbert Sipole, company commander of the Regional Mobile Force Battalion 6, said Esperidion was riding on his motorcycle when his men flagged him down.
He will be charged for violation of Republic Act 10591, or the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act./PN
