ILOILO City – One of Batad, Iloilo’s most wanted persons have been arrested, a police report showed.
Officers caught Will “Nonoy Will” Palmero in Barangay Panian, Balasan town.
Police identified Palmero – a murder suspect – as the No. 9 most wanted person in Batad.
Palmero was served with a warrant of arrest at around 3:30 p.m. on Saturday.
Joint officers from the municipal police stations in Balasan, Batad and San Dionisio effected his arrest.
The Batad police took the suspect in custody.
No bail bond has been set for his temporary liberty.
More than five hours later, at around 10 p.m., an attempted murder suspect was caught in Barangay Pasig, Lambunao.
The Lambunao police arrested Jose Benjie Lebuna, a 38-year-old resident of Barangay Balagiao in the town.
Judge Ma. Yolanda Panaguiton issued the warrant of arrest against the suspect on May 29 last year and set the bail at P120,000, a separate police report showed.
The Lambunao police took him in custody./PN
