BACOLOD City – Lightning struck a resident of Barangay Tagda, Hinigaran, Negros Occidental.
The 63-year-old Medardo Laurel died.
He was fishing under heavy rain with younger brother Joezalde at around 1:10 p.m. on Wednesday when the incident happened, a police report showed.
Medardo Laurel was taken to the Hinigaran Medical Clinic but Dr. Jansen Vergara pronounced him “dead on arrival.”/PN
