BACOLOD City – A physician for the Land Transportation Office (LTO) at a mall in this city was found dead in his car yesterday along Kilometer 14, Barangay Calumangan, Bago City, Negros Occidental.

Police were still trying to determine what caused the death of the 82-year-old Dr. Felix Valenzuela, also of Bago City. An autopsy will be performed on his remains.

Scene of the crime operatives of the Negros Occidental Police Provincial Office continue investigating.

Valenzuela was found in his Hyundai Eon. The car has been in the area since 5 p.m. on Wednesday. Residents thought it had mechanical trouble, police said.

Investigators found no sign of struggle. The doctor’s belongings were intact, too.

Valenzuela was a city health officer in Bago City before serving as physician at LTO Robinsons Place office./PN
