ILOILO City – Breaking the glass door of a restaurant cost a resident of Barangay Hibao-an Norte, Mandurriao district his liberty.
The 40-year-old Renan Socolar was arrested and detained at the Mandurriao police station.
Socolar punched the glass door of Yiang-Yiang Seafood and Grill in the village at around 1:45 a.m. on Dec. 24, causing it to break, according to stay-in cook Raffy Friolo.
Friolo, 26, told the police he was about to get some rest at the time. He did not know why Socolar did it.
Socolar was injured on his right hand as a result. Iloilo City Emergency Response team personnel treated him before he was sent to the Mandurriao police station custodial facility.
The cost of damage was estimated at P2,000, the police report stated./PN
