ILOILO City – After a brief chase, a security guard of a mall on Delgado Street, City Proper caught an 18-year-old accused of stealing a woman’s cellphone.
Angelo Kevin Allan Macasa, a resident of Barangay Burgos, La Paz district, was detained at Police Station 1.
Macasa allegedly picked the sling bag of Mary Ann Lopez, 53, of Zone 3, Barangay Hibao-an, Pavia, Iloilo and took her gold O+ cellphone worth P6,000, a police report showed.
Security guard Joash Romano, 26, spotted Macasa and ran after him.
Romano eventually cornered and subdued the suspect, and turned him over to a Police Station 1 officer.
