ILOILO City – A suspected thief was arrested yesterday in Barangay Caingin, La Paz district.
Twenty-four-year-old Jose Emy Araquel was accused of stealing a sack of rice at the store of one Eduardo Lagdamen, police said.
The suspect – a resident of Barangay Vista Alegre, Anilao, Iloilo – was taken to the police station around 11:15 a.m.
Prior to his apprehension, Araquel allegedly sold the stolen rice to Feliz Gallardo for P1,050.
A theft complaint would be filed against the suspect./PN
