ILOILO City – A 29-year-old man charged with rape was arrested in Barangay Poblacion, Balud, Masbate.
Darl Jay Ariola, a resident of Poblacion, Batad, Iloilo, was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant around 1 a.m. Sept. 26.
Police investigators said Ariola was hiding in Masbate after he was accused of trying to rape a woman.
Ariola was now detained in the lockup cell of the Batad municipal police station.
The court recommended a P120,000 bail bond for his temporary liberty./PN
