BACOLOD City – Charged with rape, a man was arrested in Barangay Talotog, Murcia, Negros Occidental.
The 36-year-old resident Ramero Espanola, who had been hiding from the police for about five years, was caught on the strength of an arrest warrant around 8 p.m. on Wednesday, a police report showed.
Officers of the municipal police station served the warrant issued by Judge Philadelfa Pagapomg-Agraviador of the Regional Trial Court Branch 43 in this city dated May 21, 2014.
Espanola was detained in the lockup cell of the Murcia police station.
The court recommended a P120,000 bail bond for the suspect’s temporary liberty./PN
