BACOLOD City – A resident of Barangay Tabugon, Kabankalan City, Negros Occidental was hacked to death after he was caught kissing another man’s wife.

The 49-year-old Dennis Laurita attacked the 62-year-old Reynaldo Enanoria after he caught the latter kissing his wife Norma, a police report showed.

From what the police gathered so far, Laurita has long been suspecting that Norma has an affair with another man.

On Jan. 7, Norma left their house to go to Bacolod City. She told Laurita that she will find a job there.

The next day, Laurita went to Enanoria’s farmhouse in the village and there she found Norma.

Enanoria and Norma were initially talking and then they kissed, Laurita told the police.

Upon seeing the furious Laurita, Enanoria ran. Laurita chased him.

Laurita threw a stone at Enanoria’s back, prompting the latter to drop on the ground. That was when Laurita hacked him, police said.

Enanoria sustained hack wounds on the different parts of the body and was rushed to the Lorenzo D. Zayco District Hospital in Kabankalan City where attending physician Dr. Jeffty Castillon pronounced him “dead on arrival.”

Village watchmen caught Laurita, who was now under the custody of the Kabankalan City police./PN
