ILOILO City – Two thieves riding in tandem on a motorcycle took the wallet of a 20-year-old resident of Barangay Cuartero, Jaro district.

Joel Cabangbang told the police his wallet contained P1,500 cash and Pag-IBIG, PhilHealth and Bureau of Internal Revenue identification cards.

Cabangbang was walking home around 2:30 a.m. on May 18 when the suspects suddenly pulled over next to him and asked him, “Diin ka gapuli (Where do you live)?”

He said he got nervous and told them where. The suspects then asked him to open his bag. They saw his wallet and asked him if they could check it as well.

When Cabangbang took his wallet, the back rider grabbed it and the suspects sped away, the victim told the police.

The suspects remained unidentified as of this writing./PN
