BACOLOD City – A 22-year-old woman from Barangay Zone 4, Pulupandan, Negros Occidental accused her neighbor of rape.
The victim, whom the police identified as “Rose” – not her real name – was allegedly sexually assaulted on Sept. 18, a police report showed.
Rose identified the suspect as Melster Robete, 37.
Robete allegedly barged in Rose’s house when she was alone around 11 p.m., police said.
Rose was taken to the Pulupandan Municipal Health Center and was later transferred to the Corazon Locsin Montelibano Memorial Regional Hospital.
Robete was arrested and detained at the Pulupandan police station lockup facility and charged with rape./PN
