BACOLOD City — A man was gunned down inside a computer shop in Purok Lubi, Barangay 3 here on Monday night, February 2.
Authorities identified the victim as Earnie Catahay, legal age and a resident of Barangay 6, Victorias City, Negros Occidental. The shooting occurred while the victim was inside the establishment.
According to the initial investigation by the Bacolod City Police Office’s (BCPO) Police Station 2 and the Scene of the Crime Operatives (SOCO), an unidentified gunman opened fire on Catahay inside the shop around 9:50 p.m. with an undetermined firearm.
The victim sustained multiple gunshot wounds to various parts of his body and was pronounced dead at the scene, police said.
The gunman immediately fled in an unknown direction following the attack.
As of press time, police were conducting follow-up operations to identify the assailant and determine the motive behind the killing. (Watchmen Daily Journal)/PN
