BACOLOD City – A man was shot to death by unidentified motorcycle-riding gunmen in Barangay San Pedro, Binalbagan, Negros Occidental.
Paul Iligan Tejam, 40, a resident of the town’s Barangay San Teodoro, sustained multiple gunshot wounds, a police report showed.
Tejam was onboard a motorcycle when attacked around 5:05 a.m. on Feb. 7.
The victim was rushed to the Binalbagan Infirmary but was declared “dead on arrival” by the attending physician.
Responding policemen recovered two spent bullets of a .45-caliber pistol and one fired slug from the crime scene.
Tejam was the third victim in the series of shootings in Binalbagan in just a week.
On Feb. 1, a former overseas Filipino worker was shot to death by unidentified riding-in-tandem gunmen in the town’s Barangay Progreso.
Resident Lester John Belbar, 41, died of multiple gunshot wounds on the body, police said.
Five empty shells of a .9mm-caliber pistol were recovered from the crime scene.
On Feb. 5, a resident of Barangay San Jose was shot by an unidentified man who fled onboard a motorcycle.
The 27-year-old John Kevin Sebonga survived the shooting, police said.
Three spent shells of .9mm-caliber pistol were recovered from the crime scene.
