BACOLOD City – Police nabbed a man engaging in illegal gambling in Barangay Bulata, Cauayan, Negros Occidental.
Tagged suspect was 19-year-old resident Egie Montes.
Operatives of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group-Bacolod caught him allegedly soliciting, tallying and receiving bets for the illegal numbers game jai-alai around 6:30 p.m. on Feb. 7.
Gambling money amounting to P428 was recovered from his possession.
Police also impounded his motorcycle.
Charges for violating Presidential Decree 1602 that outlaws illegal gambling will be filed against Montes./PN
