CAPIZ – A mechanic from Barangay Poblacion Sur, Sigma town landed in the hospital after he was stabbed around 3:20 p.m. on Wednesday, July 31, in Sitio Angelville, Barangay San Jose, Roxas City.
Personnel of the Capiz Emergency Response Team brought the 30-year-old Ausberto Galve to Roxas Memorial Provincial Hospital. He sustained a stab wound on the back of his body.
Police identified the suspect as Edilberto Vallencia, a resident of Barangay San Jose.
According to the investigation of Roxas City Police Station, Galve was fixing the motorcycle of Vallencia when a heated argument ensued between them which resulted to stabbing.
The suspect fled after the incident.
Roxas City police said he remained at large as of this writing.
Responding barangay tanods, meanwhile, recovered a 12-inch knife from the crime scene./PN
