ILOILO City – Properties worth around P300,000 went up in smoke when fire hit a residential area in Barangay South San Jose, Molo district, a police report showed.
The blaze totally gutted six houses while partially damaging five.
Initial investigation showed that the fire originated from Josephine Asturias’ house around 9:20 a.m. on June 4.
The blaze was put under control around 9:39 a.m. The Bureau of Fire Protection (BFP) declared a “fire out” at 10:43 a.m.
The BFP has yet to determine the cause of the blaze as of this writing./PN
