BACOLOD City – Charged with murder, a man was arrested in Sitio Butig-Butig, Barangay Menchaca, Calatrava, Negros Occidental.

Joint elements of the Criminal Investigation and Detection Group led by Chief Inspector Julius Garcia and the Calatrava police station led by Chief Inspector John Joel Batusbatusan caught the 32-year-old resident Ating Espadilla on Jan. 13.

Espadilla was arrested on the strength of a warrant issued by Judge Amy Alabado-Avellano of the Regional Trial Court Branch 57 in San Carlos City on July 19, 2017.

Espadilla was detained at the Calatrava police station lockup facility.

The court did not recommend a bail bond for Espadilla’s temporary liberty. (With Mae Singuay/PN)
