Nabas motorcycle crash hurts teens

BORACAY – Two teenagers on board a motorcycle figured in a crash in Barangay Poblacion, Nabas, Aklan.

The 16-year-old Junie Magno was driving the motorcycle while Jade Absalon, 14, was the back rider. Both were residents of Libertad, Antique.

They were injured – Magno sustained a fractured right leg while Absalon had scratches.

The motorcycle was negotiating the Western Nautical Highway in Barangay Poblacion, Nabas when it crashed against a tricycle trying to make a U-turn, a police report stated.

The tricycle driver – 52-year-old Salvador Samson of Barangay Soledo, Nabas – was about to pick up a passenger at the time, police said.

Magno and Absalon were taken to the Ibajay District Hospital after the incident at around 4:35 p.m. Tuesday. Samson was unhurt.

The tricycle and the motorcycle were damaged but the cost was not yet known as of this writing./PN
