ACTRESS Nadine Lustre says she would rather remain single than pursue another relationship if things do not work out with boyfriend Chris Bariou, whom she described as difficult to replace because of their shared values and outlook on life.
The actress opened up about her relationship in Karen Davila’s latest vlog after a lighthearted exchange about whether it is possible to fall in love with a screen partner.
“Huwag na. At saka alam mo naman ‘yan nangyari na ‘yan. Huwag na nating ulitin,” Lustre said when the topic came up during Davila’s visit to the Siargao set of “Love Siargao.”
“I like that. Si Alden naman ang sagot, ‘baka noon, pero I’m much older now.’ Ikaw talaga, ‘huwag na!'” Davila said.
“That’s not impossible naman based on experience but I think now, you know naman I’m very happy with where I’m at. And, ito talaga itaga niyo sa bato – if Chris (Bariou) and I break up ayaw ko na mag-jowa, pagod na ako. But really I told myself that na parang sabi ko if this is not the last relationship that I will have I probably going to be single for the rest of my life,” Lustre said.
“We will see but for now kasi it’s really my career, Chris, family, the environment and the animals. I think it’s hard to find someone like Chris same mindset, same values and someone who’s very caring for everything that’s around him. Ang hirap eh. Haba ng buhok niya,” added Lustre.
In the vlog, Lustre said that she really enjoyed doing the series with Richards.
“Honestly, I don’t think this will be the last time that people, hopefully, will see the both of us. I mean this is not going to be the last time we’ll be hanging out for sure just because, you know, the people here in our set, everyone is just cool. I really see them as you know friends even after the project,” she said.
“Love, Siargao” is now available on Viu. (ABS-CBN News)
