BACOLOD City – The Negros Occidental capitol park will be reopened to the public today after almost one year of renovation.
According to Gov. Alfredo Marañon Jr., the reopening of the park – which includes a lagoon – will feature the new amenities in the area.
Marañon said the park’s new landscape is fit for recreational activities like picture taking and jogging.
The park’s renovation worth P25 million was part of the provincial government’s deal with the Ayala Land, Inc. for the sale and lease of some state-owned properties in the province.
The park amenities that were rehabilitated were the concrete pavement and the underground electrical wirings.
Installation of new lamp posts and lights and landscaping were also done./PN
