Negrense jins bag 5 golds in national poomsae tilt

MANILA – Taekwondo jins from Negros Taekwondo Union-Tigers took home six medals, including five golds, in the 2019 National Poomsae Championships held recently at SM Mall of Asia Entertainment Music Hall in Pasay City.

Bacolod City native Jamie Hannah Agaloos captured one of the delegations’ four gold medals when she topped the Black Belt division of the Female Individual Cadet Poomsae.

Agaloos, a standout of Tangub Christian Academy, was also part of Synchronized Poomsae Team that captured the gold medal in the competition.

Ceanne Kyle Rosquillo also bagged a gold medal when he ruled the Brown Belt division of the Senior Men Poomsae. It was Rosquillo’s second consecutive gold in the competition after also topping last year.

The two other gold medals came from Toni Marie Merida in the Blue Belt Division of Individual Senior Female and Cydric Rosas in Blue Belt division of Individual Cadet Boys.

NTU-Tigers’ lone silver medal winner was Justine Derk Guinson, who placed second in the Yellow Belt Division of the Individual Gradeschool Boys Poomsae./PN
