MANILA – Green Archers United FC leaned on the vintage showing of Christian Pasilan Jr. as they defeated Philippine Air Force FC, 4-0, in the 2019 Philippines Football League at the Aboitiz Pitch in Lipa, Batangas.
The San Carlos City, Negros Occidental native Pasilan showed the way with two conversions on Sunday night.
Joel Okono and Tonaldo Appiah contributed a goal each for the Green Archers United.
After missing their early attempts on the goal, the Green Archers United broke the scoreless deadlock at the 23rd minute as Pasilan evaded his defenders for a close-range strike.
The Green Archers United was able to increase the advantage to 2-0 10 minutes later with Okono eluding Philippine Air Force defense to tally his first goal in the League.
The Green Archers United’s first half onslaught continued with Appiah converting at the 36th minute, before Pasilan completed his throwback performance with his brace a minute later.
With the outcome, the Green Archers United tied Stallion-Laguna FC at third spot in the standings with 18 points, while Philippine Air Force is at six spot with four points./PN
