BACOLOD City – Traffic enforcers will have no holidays this week.
They will all report to work on Maundy Thursday and Good Friday, said the Bacolod Traffic Authority Office (BTAO) head.
No work, no pay, stressed Superintendent Luisito Acebuche.
Acebuche said there will be no rerouting of vehicles to give way to religious processions. The Sangguniang Panlungsod has not approved any ordinance for such.
But some enforcers will be detailed at churches and on streets where religious processions may be held, said BTAO spokesperson Rodolfo Song.
An emergency team will be on standby for “technical disturbances.”
The BTAO engineering department will immediately remove any obstruction on streets, said Song.
Traffic enforcers will continue implementing ordinances prohibiting jaywalking and riding motorcycles without a helmet, said Song./PN
