ILOILO – In a significant blow to illegal drug operations in the province of Antique, authorities seized P408,000 worth of suspected shabu and apprehended a high-value individual.
The suspect, identified as alias “Edson,” a 29-year-old seafarer, was arrested with 12 heat-sealed transparent plastic sachets of suspected shabu weighing more or less 60 grams in Barangay Funda Dalipe, San Jose de Buenavista at around 6 p.m. on Monday, March 18.
The operation was carried out by the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency-Antique, with support from the Antique Police Provincial Office-Drug Enforcement Unit and the San Jose Police Station-Drug Enforcement Team.
Authorities also recovered a weighing scale, two improvised tooters, a syringe, a bamboo stick, fourteen disposable lighters, and seven aluminum foil strips.
The arrested individual is currently under the custody of San Jose police pending proper disposition./PN
